Welcome to Serpentine Road Family Church.
We are a group of people discovering what it is to be ‘church’ in the twenty first century.
Over the past few years we have been changing from a traditional church that meets for worship on a Sunday and does good works during to week into something new.
Quite what the something new will look like we are not sure.
However, we believe that being forced to close our buildings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 might be a blessing in disguise.
For when all this is over and we are allowed to emerge from our homes and interact socially once more, we believe a new way of being church will take shape.
However, while the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage around us we will do our bit.
We will keep our buildings closed and we will stay at home.
But we will pray.
We will pray for those who work in the NHS and give thanks for every life that is saved.
We will pray for delivery drivers, giving thanks for them keeping food in the shops and medicines in our pharmacies.
We will pray for those who work in the Civil Service, delivering financial support to those who find themselves unable to work.
And we will pray for you, if you would like us to.
You can contact us through our Facebook page.
While we might not be gathering on a Sunday, and our buildings are currently closed to the public we are  keeping the rumour of God alive.
